Project name

The name Chron Confer letteraly means time comparison or bringing time together. Though the name captures the idea of the project very well it was not made up intentionally. It is rather a post-hoc interpretation of the domain name chron.cf that was available at the time to host the project's web-page. Hence it is now the project's name.

Team

The project lead, Stas Vlasov brings leadership experience in launching and running a high-tech start-up as a CEO. Stas also brings many years of academic research experience in economics and sociology, as well as experience in teaching and university courses, which have inspired the idea behind this project. Stas also actively participates in development for this project, using his several years of experience as a front-end developer (TypeScript, React.js, python) and active open-source contributor for academic software (R, python, elisp).
Lead developer Daniel Varga brings core and unique expertise in software engineering, expertise in low latency trading, skill in low level programming (C, C++, Rust, WebAssembly). His experience includes working as DevOps (linux, AWS), as a full-stack developer (ReactJS, VanillaJS) and as a CTO at a US-based start-up. Dani brings first-hand knowledge with running complex projects with advanced technical architecture.
