Comming soon...

Chron Conferre is a novel distributed ledger, that we will need to design and implement. The system is intended to be used for decades (possibly more) by diverse communities that may also interact with each other. We need to make sure the data model is flexible to accommodate the local community and the system needs to be extensible in order to allow future upgrades and integration of services used by the commodity.

The system needs to provide a reasonably quick and resource efficient way to verify the integrity of the ledger. Preventing malicious manipulations such as inserted, altered or deleted entries after the fact, while providing a way to amend information later on, including permanently deleting records. Bad actors may create fake ledgers with fabricated entries and attempt to use that to interact with the community.

Losing the ledger with a lifetime of favours and work would be a major disruption to the person, we intend to provide multiple ways to backup the ledger. As accidents may still happen, there should be a way to recover at least most of the entries from former peers. The ownership of the ledger will be based on some information the person knows, losing this will render the ledger unusable and the person will not be able to prove past efforts. In a community the person’s peers may be able to attest for the past favours allowing them to recover the ledger.
